National Crime Stoppers Day is celebrated across Australia every year and aims to raise awareness of the vital role Crime Stoppers plays in keeping the community safe.
Today we’re reminding the community about what number to call in an emergency, for police assistance and when to contact Crime Stoppers.
In 2021 across Australia 288,432 calls were made to Crime Stoppers and 296,553 online reports were submitted. This information resulted in 4,175 arrests and 14,040 charges.
