It is an offence to dump rubbish in a public place and can result in heavy fines. Littering of any kind is illegal under the Litter Act 2004. Once one-person dumps rubbish, it seems to indicate to others that’s it’s okay for them to dump too – but it’s not, and you could receive a penalty.
