National Crime Stoppers Day is celebrated across Australia every year and aims to raise awareness of the vital role Crime Stoppers plays in keeping the community safe.
This year’s theme “Not all heroes wear capes” reinforces that everyday Australians can help solve or prevent crimes just by sharing what they know with Crime Stoppers.
In 2020, Crime Stoppers received 244,502 calls and 183,909 online reports across Australia. This information resulted in 6,620 arrests and 18,608 charges.
The smallest piece of information could be the missing piece police need to solve a crime. We want information about every type of crime at any time.
You can share what you know with us without having to say who you are. Crime Stoppers provides a confidential link between the community and police to ensure potentially vital information is not left unreported.
Thank you to all the heroes in the community who step up and contact us with information about suspicious or unusual activity.
You can help solve or prevent crime in the community by sharing what you know with us on 1800 333 000 or making an online report here.
